CDrom hang with 32-bit OS
I run setup ok but when it re-boots after the initial setup, the system hangs. I ran the "Bootlog.txt" file and it had several failures. Thanks Try typing text at the boot: prompt. I saw one post that said to unplug the mouse until after the install, I never tried that tho. you might try "Expert" mode at the initial setup menu (before it times out to the default) which will bypass auto-probing (autodetect) for your hardware.

SETUP HALTED
It wouldn't install when booted from the CD because it would fail to read the boot device after the initial setup phase. I've tried the ASPI drivers and MSCDEX under MS-DOS 6.22, and the system hangs when it tries to load MSCDEX. I've also tried a second 50-pin SCSI cable for the Plextor, with no change.

I was able to get a 9gb boot partition using the Diamond card. So far it has been my experience that as long as I use a scsi card that has a SymBios chipset on it, I cannot even install the OS, I get hung during initial setup after the drivers load with the message at the bottom "Starting Windows NT."
